Instructions for Authors

Thank you for your interest in submitting your work to Advances in Food Science and Technology. To ensure a smooth and efficient publication process, please carefully review and follow the guidelines below.

 

1. General Information

  • Advances in Food Science and Technology is a peer-reviewed journal that publishes high-quality research articles, reviews, and scholarly papers related to food science and technology.
  • The journal covers a wide range of topics, including food chemistry, food engineering, food microbiology, food safety, food processing, and nutrition.
  • All submissions must be original and should not be under consideration for publication elsewhere.

2. Manuscript Preparation

  • Manuscripts should be prepared in English and submitted as a Microsoft Word document.
  • The manuscript should follow the American Psychological Association (APA) style guidelines for formatting and referencing.
  • The length of the manuscript should be between 4,000 and 8,000 words, excluding the abstract, references, and supplementary materials.
  • The text should be double-spaced, using Times New Roman font size 12.
  • A title page should be included, containing the title of the paper, the names and affiliations of all authors, and the corresponding author's contact information.

3. Abstract and Keywords

  • An informative and concise abstract of no more than 250 words should be provided.
  • The abstract should summarize the main objectives, methods, results, and conclusions of the study.
  • A maximum of six keywords should be listed below the abstract, suitable for indexing purposes.

4. Introduction

  • The introduction should provide a clear and concise background to the research problem, clearly stating the objectives of the study.
  • Relevant literature should be cited to support the rationale for the research.

5. Materials and Methods

  • Sufficient detail should be provided to enable the replication of the study.
  • Methods should be described in a clear and concise manner, including the study design, sample size, data collection procedures, and statistical analysis methods.

6. Results and Discussion

  • Results should be presented in a logical and organized manner, using tables, figures, and/or graphs as necessary.
  • The discussion should interpret the results, compare them with previous research, and provide insights and implications.

7. Conclusion

  • The conclusion should summarize the main findings of the study and their significance.

8. Acknowledgments

  • Acknowledgments should be brief and include the names of individuals or organizations that contributed to the research but do not meet the criteria for authorship.

9. References

  • All references cited in the manuscript should be listed in alphabetical order at the end of the paper.
  • In-text citations should follow the APA style guidelines.

10. Supplementary Materials

  • Authors may provide supplementary materials, such as datasets, images, or videos, to support their research. These materials should be submitted as separate files.

11. Submission Process

  • Manuscripts should be submitted electronically through the online submission system on our journal website.
  • Upon successful submission, a confirmation email will be sent to the corresponding author.

12. Review and Publication Process

  • All submissions will undergo a rigorous peer review process.
  • The review process typically takes 4-6 weeks, during which the authors will be notified of the outcome.
  • Accepted manuscripts will be published online as soon as they are ready, ensuring rapid dissemination of research findings.
