All authors whose manuscripts are accepted for publication in the African Journal of Crop Science will be required to pay an Article Processing Charge (APC). This fee covers the costs associated with:
The current APC for publishing in the African Journal of Crop Science is $500. This fee is payable upon acceptance of the manuscript and is essential for maintaining the quality and accessibility of our journal. This amount may be more for authors from developed countries and reduced for those from resource-limited countries.
We understand that funding may be a barrier for some authors. Therefore, the journal offers waivers and discounts on the APC for authors from low-income or lower-middle-income countries, as well as for those who may have financial constraints. Authors seeking a waiver or discount should provide a brief statement during the submission process.
Once a manuscript is accepted for publication, authors will receive detailed instructions on how to process the payment of the APC. Accepted payment methods will be outlined in the communication.
Please note that the APC is non-refundable once the article has been published. If a manuscript is withdrawn before publication, authors may be eligible for a partial refund, depending on the stage of the editorial process.
