International Journal of Hematology [IJH] is a peer-reviewed, hybrid open access journal committed to advancing scientific knowledge, clinical innovation, and evidence-based practice in hematology and related biomedical sciences.
IJH serves as an international forum for the rapid dissemination of high-quality research that addresses fundamental, translational, and clinical aspects of blood and blood-forming organs. The journal integrates laboratory science with clinical application by publishing studies that explore the pathophysiology, diagnosis, management, and prevention of hematologic disorders.
We welcome original contributions from hematologists, oncologists, transfusion medicine specialists, laboratory scientists, researchers, clinicians, and academicians worldwide. Our editorial priority is to uphold scientific rigor, ensure publication integrity, and provide an efficient, transparent, and constructive peer review and production process that supports global knowledge exchange and improved patient outcomes.

Aims & Scope
IJH publishes original research articles, systematic reviews and meta-analyses, clinical trials, technical notes, laboratory investigations, short communications, and case reports that provide significant contributions to hematology, including but not limited to:
Benign Hematology and Red Cell Disorders, Leukemias and Myelodysplastic Syndromes, Lymphomas and Multiple Myeloma, Hemostasis and Thrombosis, Transfusion Medicine and Immunohematology, Hematopoietic Stem Cell Transplantation and Cellular Therapy, Hemoglobinopathies and Bone Marrow Failure Syndromes, Pediatric Hematology, Molecular and Genomic Hematology, and Immunohematology and Laboratory Hematology.
Our objective is to foster interdisciplinary collaboration and promote translational approaches that improve diagnostic accuracy, therapeutic efficacy, patient safety, and quality of care in hematology.
Publication Model: Hybrid Open Access [Primarily Open Access]
Authors publishing in IJH may select one of two publishing routes upon submission, however the journal now primarily accepts and publishes open access articles to maximize global visibility, accessibility, and citation impact.
Open Access: The article is made immediately and permanently available online to all readers upon publication under the Creative Commons Attribution License [CC BY 4.0]. The publication charge for this journal is 500 USD. Authors who are not able to pay this amount may apply for a partial discount. Please note that we do not offer free publications.
Subscription Access: The article is published at no charge to the author and is accessible to subscribers and licensed institutions through our website. Authors may share their work in accordance with our self-archiving policy. This route is available on a limited basis.
APC Discount Policy
We are committed to equitable and inclusive scholarly publishing. Authors with limited research funding may apply for a partial reduction of the Article Processing Charge based on World Bank country income classification, institutional funding availability, or documented financial need. Please note: We do not provide full waivers. A minimum administrative charge applies to all open access articles to support editorial and production operations.
Editorial Standards
All manuscripts submitted to IJH undergo a rigorous double-blind peer review process conducted by at least two independent experts in the relevant field. Each submission is screened for originality using iThenticate / Crossref Similarity Check. The journal adheres to the COPE Core Practices and the ICMJE Recommendations for the Conduct, Reporting, Editing, and Publication of Scholarly Work in Medical Journals to ensure publication ethics, editorial independence, research integrity, and transparency at every stage of evaluation and publication.
