Aims & Scope
IJCA publishes original research articles, systematic reviews and meta-analyses, clinical and experimental investigations, brief communications, technical notes, and case reports that provide significant insights into cardiovascular medicine, including but not limited to:
Clinical Cardiology and Cardiovascular Medicine, Interventional Cardiology and Cardiac Surgery, Heart Failure and Cardiomyopathies, Cardiac Electrophysiology and Arrhythmias, Preventive Cardiology and Cardiovascular Epidemiology, Pediatric and Congenital Heart Disease, Hypertension and Vascular Medicine, Cardiac Imaging and Diagnostic Techniques, Molecular and Cellular Cardiology, and Cardio-metabolic Disorders and Rehabilitation.
Our aim is to facilitate interdisciplinary collaboration and encourage novel approaches that improve cardiovascular outcomes, patient safety, and quality of cardiac care worldwide.
Publication Model: Hybrid Open Access [Primarily Open Access]
Authors submitting to IJCA may choose from two publication pathways at the point of submission, although the journal now primarily considers open access submissions to ensure wider dissemination and greater citation impact.
1. Open Access: The article is made freely and permanently available to all readers worldwide immediately upon publication under the Creative Commons Attribution License [CC BY 4.0]. The publication charge for this journal is 500 USD. Authors who meet eligibility criteria may request a partial discount. Please note that we do not offer free publications.
2. Subscription Access: The article is published without charge to the author and is accessible to subscribers and authorized institutions via our website. Authors retain rights to share their work in accordance with our self-archiving policy. This option is offered on a limited basis.
APC Discount Policy
We are dedicated to promoting inclusive and equitable access to scholarly publishing. Authors with limited research funding may request a partial discount on the Article Processing Charge based on World Bank income classification of their country, institutional funding availability, or demonstrated financial constraints. Please note: We do not offer full waivers. A minimum administrative fee is applicable to all open access articles to cover editorial and production costs.
Editorial Standards
All manuscripts submitted to IJCA undergo a thorough double-blind peer review by at least two independent experts in the relevant specialty. All submissions are screened for originality and potential overlap using iThenticate / Crossref Similarity Check. The journal adheres to the principles of the Committee on Publication Ethics [COPE] and the recommendations of the International Committee of Medical Journal Editors [ICMJE] to maintain publication ethics, editorial autonomy, and research integrity throughout the editorial process.
