Global Journal of Peace and Conflict Studies [GJPCS] is a peer-reviewed, hybrid open access journal committed to advancing scholarly understanding, critical analysis, and evidence-based practice in the fields of peacebuilding, conflict resolution, and international security.

GJPCS serves as an international forum for the prompt dissemination of rigorous and policy-relevant research that addresses the complex dynamics of conflict and peace. The journal connects conceptual frameworks with practical interventions by publishing studies that examine the causes, consequences, and transformation of conflict, as well as strategies for sustaining peace, justice, and social cohesion.

We invite original contributions from peace researchers, conflict analysts, political scientists, international relations scholars, security experts, sociologists, human rights practitioners, and policymakers across the globe. Aims & Scope
GJPCS publishes original research articles, systematic reviews, policy analyses, theoretical perspectives, empirical investigations, short communications, and case studies that contribute significantly to the understanding of peace and conflict, including but not limited to:

Peacebuilding and Post-Conflict Reconstruction, Conflict Analysis and Resolution Mechanisms, International Security and Strategic Studies, Mediation, Negotiation and Diplomacy, Human Rights, Transitional Justice and Reconciliation, Ethnic Conflict, Identity Politics and Nationalism, Terrorism, Violent Extremism and Counter-Strategies, Gender, Youth and Social Dimensions of Peace, and Governance, Development and Sustainable Peace.

Our goal is to facilitate interdisciplinary dialogue and promote innovative, context-sensitive approaches that advance conflict prevention, resolution, and the cultivation of durable peace.

Publication Model: Hybrid Open Access [Primarily Open Access]
Authors publishing in GJPCS may choose from two publication pathways at the time of submission, though the journal now primarily accepts and publishes open access articles to enhance global reach, accessibility, and scholarly impact.

1. Open Access: The article is made immediately and permanently available to all readers worldwide upon publication under the Creative Commons Attribution License [CC BY 4.0]. The publication charge for this journal is 500 USD. Authors who are not able to pay this amount may apply for a partial discount. Please note that we do not offer free publications.

2. Subscription Access: The article is published at no cost to the author and is made available to subscribers and licensed institutions via our website. Authors may share their work in accordance with our self-archiving policy. This option is offered on a limited basis.

APC Discount Policy
We are committed to promoting inclusive and equitable access to scholarly publishing. Authors with limited research funding may request a partial reduction in the Article Processing Charge, based on World Bank country income classification, institutional funding availability, or demonstrated financial need. Please note: We do not provide full waivers. A minimum administrative charge applies to all open access articles to cover editorial and production costs.

Editorial Standards
All manuscripts submitted to GJPCS undergo a thorough double-blind peer review conducted by at least two independent experts in the relevant field. Each manuscript is screened for originality through iThenticate / Crossref Similarity Check. The journal adheres strictly to the COPE Core Practices to maintain ethical publishing standards, editorial autonomy, and integrity throughout the review and publication process.
