Aims and Scope
African Journal of Infectious Diseases Research ISSN 4729-6836 is a peer-reviewed, open access journal that publishes original clinical and laboratory-based research, together with reports of clinical trials, reviews, editorials, short communications, and case reports dealing with the epidemiology, clinical diagnosis, treatment, and control of infectious diseases with particular emphasis placed on those diseases that are most common in under-resourced countries. The aims of the journal include the following:
- To publish high quality phenomenal articles describing research results on microbiology, immunology, epidemiology, and related disciplines, on the pathogenesis, diagnosis, and treatment of infectious diseases; on the microbes that cause them; and on disorders of host immune responses.
- To publish articles dealing with all aspects of the prevention, diagnosis and management of infectious and sexually transmitted diseases in humans, as well as related molecular genetics, pathophysiology, and epidemiology.
- To publish articles on the impact of infectious agents on the environment and related disciplines. Reports of research related to any aspect of the fields of parasitology, bacterialogy, infection, and host response, whether laboratory, clinical, or epidemiologic, will be considered for publication.
