Abstract:
Real-time video telemetry over narrow-bandwidth wireless channels suffers from extreme frame degradation, high buffering latencies, and high data loss frequencies. Standard compression algorithms require excessive hardware processing overhead, which degrades the performance of resource-restricted embedded transceivers. This paper introduces a lightweight, hardware-optimized block-layer compression model tailored for high-speed streaming telemetry. By restructuring the spatial transformation algorithms and utilizing an adaptive run-length encoder array, the compression engine minimizes memory allocations and hardware cycles. We deployed the protocol variant on an embedded system to track processing speed and battery drainage. The experimental results show a 31.2% drop in processor load and a 16.5% reduction in data transmission size when compared with standard baseline video compression models. Security verification checks prove that the data structures retain structural stability against high bit-error rates. This framework satisfies the strict streaming metrics needed for critical aerial and industrial surveillance applications.
