Avian medicine: challenges and opportunities in exotic bird care

Abstract:

Avian medicine is a rapidly growing field, with an increasing number of exotic bird species being kept as pets. However, the unique anatomy, physiology, and behavior of these birds present several challenges for veterinarians and researchers. This review aims to provide an overview of the challenges and opportunities in exotic bird care, highlighting the current state of knowledge and identifying areas for future research.
