International Journal of Otolaryngology and Ophthalmology ISSN 7329-1943 is an open access, peer-reviewed journal publishing significant research on all aspects and sub-specialties of otolaryngology and ophthalmology as well as a broad range of related disciplines.

Aims and Scope

  • To publish contemporary, ethical, clinically relevant information in otolaryngology, head and neck surgery (ear, nose, throat, head, and neck disorders) that can be used by otolaryngologists, clinicians, scientists, and specialists to improve patient care and public health.
  • To publish articles dealing with the anatomy, physiology and diseases of the eye and related structures, medical and surgical eye problems, operations on eyes, vision, visual systems, vision information processing in humans, optometry, eye examination, eyeglass prescription, least distance of distinct vision, orthoptics, phoropter, vision therapy, visual impairment, visual perception, visual neuroscience, epidemiology and biostatistics, mechanisms of ophthalmic disease, ophthalmic molecular genetics, and socioeconomics and health services, as well as a multitude of diseases and conditions that can be diagnosed from the eye.
  • To publish high quality peer-reviewed ophthalmology and vision science articles. IJOO welcomes submissions of original articles focusing on research and clinical practices on common and uncommon disorders and therapeutics, physicians' preferred technique and reviews of the literature.
  • To publish only peer-reviewed original research reporting clinical observations and laboratory investigations with clinical relevance focusing on new diagnostic and surgical techniques, instrument and therapy updates, results of clinical trials and research findings.
  • To serve society by publishing clinical and basic science research and other relevant manuscripts that relate to the sense of sight. Excellence is pursued through unbiased peer-review, the advancement of innovation and discovery, and the promotion of lifelong learning.
  • To publish peer-reviewed, scientific publication that welcomes the submission of original, previously unpublished manuscripts directed to ophthalmologists and visual science specialists describing clinical investigations, clinical observations, and clinically relevant laboratory investigations.
  • To publish articles by pecialists describing clinical investigations, clinical observations, and clinically relevant laboratory investigations related to ophthalmology. Main features include articles on both clinical and laboratory sciences, up to date major reviews, editorials, education articles and letters.  Also, surgical, diagnostic and therapeutic innovations and manuscripts of regional interest to geographic areas of the world respectively, are published.
