  • To publish articles of exceptional interest in all areas of biology and medicine relevant to breast cancer, including normal mammary gland biology, with special emphasis on the genetic, biochemical, and cellular basis of breast cancer. In addition to basic research, the journal publishes preclinical, translational and clinical studies with a biological basis, including Phase I and Phase II trials.
  • To publish original articles describing various aspects of clinical and translational research of breast cancer. The journal is devoted to articles on detection, diagnosis, prevention, and treatment of breast cancer. The main emphasis is on recent scientific developments in all areas related to breast cancer. Specific areas of interest include clinical research and mechanistic approaches; drug sensitivity and resistance; gene and antisense therapy; pathology, markers, and prognostic indicators; chemoprevention strategies; multimodality therapy; and integration of various approaches.
  • To publish significant research articles dealing with translational science such as the identification of novel therapies, and outcome studies that incorporate preventative and integrated treatment strategies for enhanced survival, and quality of life for the cancer patient.
  • Finally, the journal aims to provide a forum for the academic communication between medical doctors, basic science researchers, and health care professionals. To achieve this aim, we publish original investigations, review articles, brief communications including case reports, editorial opinions on the topics of importance to breast cancer, and welcome new research findings and epidemiological studies, especially when they contain a regional data to grab the international reader's interest. Although the journal is mainly dealing with the issues of breast cancer, rare cases among benign breast diseases or evidence-based scientifically written articles providing useful information for clinical practice can be published as well.
